Our Mango

23 weeks and I am starting to feel the weight of my belly in the evening. I still have very little time to think about being pregnant with Rylen, but this baby definitely moves and kicks a lot more. I am probably more mobile and vocal than I was with Rylen. Before, I was at an office and did a lot of sitting and designing on a computer. Now I am moving around, talking to Rylen, singing songs, walking, and everything else a house wife, graphic designer, and mommy does. A lot to fill the day and keep our little Mango stimulated with sounds. I am settling in to the idea of two boys roughing it up in our house and have even wanted to go ahead and pull out the baby clothes. But there is much to be straightened in Rylen's closet before we do that. We have to make a space for this little boy.

Well, as usual, here is baby boy robbins' update:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb. (So that must include all of Rylen's noises!)
