When you do everything on a budget, projects don't always get done quickly. Such is the case with our Learning Room. I was finally able to build our table and purchase our chairs! This was a HUGE necessity so that we could get into full swing at the beginning of June. My "May Start" was moved because of this simple fact and I did not want to waste any more time.
We had Robby's mom find us a couple more kid sized chairs to match the blue chair that Rookie got for his birthday a while back. Our plan was to paint the other two chairs to give some color in the room. Well, when we got the two new chairs, they were a totally different style than the one we had. In fact, they were a bit on the vintage side. Robby and I immediately agreed that there was no way we were going to paint these chairs! It would do them a disservice! We will still paint the table...eventually, but for now we at least have the table and chairs and are ready for some learning fun! (Rookie's workboxes are ready to be filled as well!) As you can see the table has already seen some playtime with our horses. The boys LOVED the table and were so excited that it was their size. Even Ladybug got in on the fun and sat at the table for a bit swinging her legs!
The downside is when the table went in to place, the tv left. So, I have no tv upstairs until we can get a flatscreen for the wall. We need to maximize our space so a big tube tv was not going to be the answer. For now all tv learning and watching will have to take place downstairs. Hopefully we will be able to find a great deal on one soon!
