Snow, Soup & Santa

Our church has its annual Snow, Soup & Santa just a week before Christmas. It is a lot of fun for the kids. They bring in snow that covers the front of the church lawn and provide soup and hot chocolate inside. Santa is also there for pictures. We took Rylen last year for his first snow encounter, so this year was no different. He REALLY enjoyed the snow and didn't want to come inside. Unfortunately, because of the warmer Houston weather, the snow was becoming a bit like ice and Rylen had no traction on his shoes. So, standing and walking was very difficult. The funny thing is that he would fall, laugh, and try to get up. He wasn't frustrated at all.

We tried the Santa picture again and still didn't have any luck. He still cried, though giving him a high-five and taking a candycane wasn't so bad. Maybe next year it will make more sense.
